Food: Yong Tau Foo
Possibly one of the most versatile items in the market, the legendary Yong Tau Foo (YTF) gives us endless options when we look for food! This has been my number one go-to whenever I visit the food court!
Drown in soup made from soybeans with a huge variety and endless options of vegetables [Broccoli, cabbage, bitter gourd, spinach, potato leaves] you can come to this store everyday without getting bored! For the friends looking for some high GI carbohydrates post-workout, YTF stalls usually offer you a variety of rice and noodles. You can usually also choose to have curry for your soup base. Some shops even offer to free soybeans *jumps for joy while greedily staring at the freebies*
However, a downside about having YTF would be it’s limited proteins options. Thankfully, most shops have eggs and soy, which usually makes up the bulk of my protein. Definitely a go-to when I need a healthy meal!
